ABOUT MDI:

Muscular Dystrophy Ireland (MDI) is a voluntary organisation that
provides support to people with neuromuscular conditions and their
families. Muscular Dystrophy Ireland envisages an Ireland that enables
people with neuromuscular conditions to fully participate in society
and reach their full potential.

OUR MISSION: Our mission is to support people with Muscular Dystrophy.
We do this, using a member-centred approach, by:

* Providing information and support to people with neuromuscular
conditions and their families through a range of support services.
* Advocating for services and entitlements for members, educating
and informing society about the conditions.
* Supporting researchers and clinicians to carry out quality
research into neuromuscular conditions.

ABOUT MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY: Muscular Dystrophy is a collective name for
a range of neuromuscular conditions. It is characterised as a
progressive weakening, wasting and loss of _muscle_ mass over time. It
can present at birth, childhood or manifest later in life.

POSITION DETAILS

JOB TITLE: Project Worker and Administrator

LOCATIONS: Hybrid Approach and remote working options and MDI National

HOURS: 8 hour day, * hours per week, one hour
paid break.

REPORTS TO: MDI Head of Services

PURPOSE OF JOB

Complete general project work as required by the Head of Services and
CEO in line with the strategic direction of the organisation. As well
as this, MDI operates a number of respite services, including access
too Personal Assistants, Counselling, Play Therapy, and Camps and
Adult Holiday programmes. The holder of this position will be
responsible for the general administration and project work associated
with the management these programmes and others.

GENERAL PROJECT WORKER:

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

* Administration, management and oversight of MDI’s respite
services.
* Co-ordinate with staff, individual members and families on respite
requirements
* Co-ordinate the selection, recruitment, training, support and
supervision, general administration and tracking of Personal Assistant
panel
* Manage vetting and core staff training records
* Maintain and update tracking tables associated with our respite
services.
* Furnish reports for the HOS and CEO.
* CRM administrator and part of the CRM Project team.
* Maintain and update Key Performances Indicators (KPI’s)
* Support Grant Applications and other relevant general office and
administration tasks.
* Conduct the administration associated with HSE Service Level
Arrangements
* Support the administration associated with the development of MDI
Policies
* Build and maintain relationships with relevant Third Party Service
Providers
* Complete other relevant general office administration tasks as
required by your line manager

GENERAL

* Complete general project work as required by the Head of Services
and CEO in line with the strategic direction of the organisation
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team with all MDI staff e.g.
Family Support Worker, Youth Worker, Transport, fundraising, PR, etc.
* Participate in internal supervision with the line manager
* Attend team meetings and staff training as required.
* Any other duties that may be required by the organisation to full
fill the needs of the post.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS

* 2 Years’ experience in busy office setting
* Computer literate (Microsoft office suite) with relevant
qualification
* Excellent administration and time management skills.
* Excellent multitasker
* Excellent organisation skills
* Proven ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
* Excellent communication skills
* Attention to detail

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:

* Project management experience
* Experience of working with people with disabilities
* Experience working in a community / voluntary organisation
* Experience in report writing and compiling statistics
